A blog on the provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, with some bits of Newfoundland and other parts of Canada I've visited. Also, a place to find out about foods, and the music and culture. Also a guide for those who want to live and work in the Maritimes, and to all those who have left the region. When homesick, visit this blog

A Barca: Spanish village given away for free! BBC News
A similiar situation in Spain which has happened in the Maritimes all to often. Communities with an economy based on one industry, and it slowly fades from exhistence. Looks like a wonderful community, and it has a great idea, just hope that they can restore the place once again. The music is from the Spanish celtic culture. It's either Basque or Breton or Gallician. Anyone who can correct me, please comment politely.
