A blog on the provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, with some bits of Newfoundland and other parts of Canada I've visited. Also, a place to find out about foods, and the music and culture. Also a guide for those who want to live and work in the Maritimes, and to all those who have left the region. When homesick, visit this blog

Field kit for the Arctic!
my school Arnaqjuaq in Sanarijak, Nunavut will be having an outdoor excursion with all our students next month. Now up here, May is not war like it is in the south, so I have invested in
A) a -45c sleeping bag as an emergency shelter
B) a fully enclosed small pack to compliment my NI Patrol Pack
C) a pair of military issue mukluks which my friend sent me
D) a new Parkha and Snow pants
I'll be taking shots of all the kit once I get it.
And WOW does it ever feel great! Super warm, lots of room for movement and extra layering, and even when having to exhert like clearing ice and snow from my apartment building
