Pan fried steak with Montreal steak spice

throw in some rather large mushrooms

make some garlic cheese mashed potatoes with maple butter carrots

and top everything off with grilled onions.

What I have always missed most of home is the excellent and healthy fresh foods one can buy in Nova Scotia. This meal I made with locally grown potatoes, locally raised pork for the sausages and nutritional goodness of fresh greens to make salads.
