It's been a nice stay at this hotel. We had to stay here for the past two weeks, preparing my car, our home, and getting ready for school and work.
This place is perfect for anyone who has an extended stay. The suite we booked had a kitchenette which cut down on our costs. Plus they have free breakfast.
The staff are great, and it feels a bit like a home away from home.
A blog on the provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, with some bits of Newfoundland and other parts of Canada I've visited. Also, a place to find out about foods, and the music and culture. Also a guide for those who want to live and work in the Maritimes, and to all those who have left the region. When homesick, visit this blog

Halifax restaurants, good grub
Pasta a la Carabonarra
Pizza
More Pizza
Chicken Tetrazzini
Garlic fingers and Garlic toast
Kings of Donair (K.O.G.) Appetisers combo, nachos, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, chicken wings and Donair Egg Rolls
Leena says its good
We went to the Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant we had ordered from earlier in the week as the food was really good.
Stopped off for lunch at a small general store and restaurant in Maitland, Nova Scotia. Fish and chips, cheeseburgers, onion rings and I ordered a club sandwich
Having gotten tired of take out, we've also been able to cook some foods in our hotel which has a kitchenette. I boiled some potatoes, turnip, steamed some Brussels sprouts and got some nice spices to put on some pork chops I pan fried.
This was at Michaels Cafe in Middle Musquodoboit, Nova Scotia. We had Poutine, cheeseburgers, Garlic toast and I had one of the best Lasagnas in a long time! The owner is a Lebanese immigrant to Canada and has made a great place to eat in the village I went to high school in.
A donair, otherwise known as a Donair Kebab outside of Canada.
The Chinese/Vietnamese place I had ordered some food from on the first night we stayed at in Dartmouth.

Dollar Lake Provincial Park, Halifax County, Nova Scotia
I took my family to my favorite beach. Dollar Lake was a park developed by the government of Nova Scotia in the 1990s. My mum used to take my sister and I swimming here. I took my older children here back in the early 2000s and finally had the chance to take my little ones.

Coastal Inn Halifax Nova Scotia
This chain is pretty good. We will be staying in one in Dartmouth until we can move into our new home.
More food, Toyotas, Hotels and C100
FM Summer Cruiser, with Scotsburn Dairy yougurt bars. I've listened to C100 since I was a kid and they stopped by as I was getting my finances done for buying my car.

Butter Tarts!
This was a dessert my mother used to make. It must be something that is close to many Maritimer's hearts.

Hotels in Nova Scotia
So far on my return trip, I have been staying at
Holiday Inn Express, Halifax International Airport
Hampton Inn and Suites, Dartmouth
Future Inns Halifax
Coastal Inn, Halifax
Coastal Inn and Kitchenettes
Most of the hotels we have chosen for our trip provide a free breakfast. The hospitality in Nova Scotia is second to none! Once I get a chance to post pictures, I will do so
