One of my corporals in the 78th Highlanders was from Newfoundland and was telling me about hiking 4 hours into Gros Morne park and just got to the base of the hills. I was like, ok.
Camping in Newfoundland and Labrador
This looks like fun, if you're a camping type person. A buddy of mine from Port Union can't stand going camping as he can't believe people would pay money to go out and try to sleep while getting rained on, getting bit by bugs and wondering if bears will eat your food or you. But that's the fun and adventure part.

Now technically, Newfoundland and Labrador are not part of the maritimes, but Atlantic Canada. But it's just about one of the most beautiful places in the world. I went there with my mum back in 1982
